Tarek El Ghannam, Al Ahly men’s basketball team’s director, stated on Monday that the game against Zamalek SC in the Egyptian League was canceled after the opponents violated the competition’s rules.

“We did not refuse to play the game but we only asked for abiding by the competition’s rules. We received an official letter from the Egyptian Basketball Federation, saying that the games are set to be played behind closed doors.”

“We are not talking about a specific person but whoever wants to attend the game must be prevented."
