Al Ahly were without Ehab Amin, Amr Zahran, Zach Lofton and Nuni Omot in their 106-98 defeat by Libya's Al Ahly Benghazi in the Basketball Africa League (BAL) third-place playoff in Kigali on Sunday.

Al Ahly men’s basketball team booked their place in the Basketball Africa League (BAL) semifinals after defeating Senegal’s ASC Ville de Dakar 87-76 in the second game of their quarterfinal series on Sunday.

Al Ahly’s men’s basketball team departed Cairo for Rwanda to participate in the sixth Basketball Africa League (BAL) Finals, which will be held in the capital Kigali from 22 to 30 May.
