Al Ahly defender Badr Benoun expressed his happiness after defeating AS SONIDEP 1-0 in the first leg of the CAF Champions League round of 32.

“The game was hard as AS SONIDEP’s players had a tough style of playing and many of our players could have injured, besides the bad quality of the game’s pitch.”

“We aim to defend our African title and win the CAF Champions League for the tenth time. It is not easy as all the continent’s teams are seeking to win the title, but we will do our best to win the games and to make our fans happy.”
 
“Al Ahly always want to win and this makes me fight more to be at my best form, especially that the team has a lot of talented players which adds more competition among us.”
