Mahmoud El Khatib, the club’s president and the head of Al Ahly’s delegation to South Africa, accepted the dinner invitation of Ahmed El Fadly, Egypt’s Ambassador to South Africa.

The following accompanied El Khatib to ambassador El Fadly’s dinner: Tarek Kandil: board member, Samir Adly, Al Ahly’s administrative director, and Al Ahly’s media representatives.

On a similar note, representatives  from Egypt’s embassy in South Africa were keen to attend the team’s training sessions in the past week offering all kind of support to the club before Saturday’s decisive encounter against Mamelodi Sundowns.

The Reds are set to face Sundowns in the second leg of quarter-finals on Saturday, after defeating the South African team 2-0 in Cairo.
