Delegations from FIFA and CAF visited the club’s premises in Gezira on Wednesday, as Al Ahly are set to participate in Africa Super league.

The delegations were received by Khaled Mortagy, the club's treasurer, and Mohamed Serag, the club's board member, Ahmed Hossam Awad, Al Ahly’s football company board member, and Hanan El Zainy, Ahly's Licensing and Regulations Director. 

Also, the delegations included Mohamed Saydat, CAF’s licensing and regulations director, Mohamed El Tobgy, director of EFA's clubs' licensing management, and Ahmed Ehab, public relations officer at the Egyptian Football Federation. 

The delegations toured around the club and checked the players' dressing rooms at El Tetsh Stadium, the gym, and the club’s other facilities. 

FIFA’s and CAF’s representatives stressed the importance of Al Ahly’s participation in the competition, adding that the club has a huge fan base which will ensure great success for the competition. 

Moreover, they expressed their happiness for visiting the club and thanked the club’s board, headed by Mahmoud El Khatib, for the warm reception. 

Eventually, they were keen to congratulate the club for participating in FIFA Club World Cup.
