The Commandos landed in Saudi Arabia yesterday, by the lead of David Davis, our coach, for the first time hand in hand with Al Ahly team in the IHF men's Super Globe. For the Reds it's their second appearance in the competition, After finishing in fourth place in the last edition of the IHF men’s Super Globe, but this time they aim to finish in a much better place. 

Although Davis expressed how hard this competition will be and our group includes difficult opponents, he also has full confidence in the players and he trusts that they will do the best they can to achieve an extraordinary championship. 

After putting his final touches for our opening match in the competition against Al Noor of Saudi Arabia, we had the chance to make an interview with our coach to gain greater insight about the team's ambitions in the competition. 

"Our goals are the maximum in this tournament, and we will give it our maximum. We are prepared for it and we will do everything we can to achieve victory. Everything can change, and we will try to be a complicated team for our opponents as well." 

"Of course, I'm satisfied with the team, and I know for sure they are going to fight to finish in a good place which we deserve," 

The Red Eagles are drawn in Group A alongside Al Noor and Barcelona, with the team winning the top spot of the group booking his place in the semi-finals. 

Asked about the much-awaited match against Barcelona, Davis said:

"Playing against Barcelona is for sure complicated, they rarely lose. We respect all our opponents but we are going to do our best, and the most important thing is to believe that we can beat them,"

The Red Eagles are starting their journey in the IHF men's Super Globe today against Al Noor Saudi Club at Dammam Sports Hall at 3 p.m.
