Al Ahly women’s basketball team won the National League title for the second consecutive season after defeating Alexandria Sporting Club (ASC) 83-62 in the final. 

Following the game, we had the chance to interview several of our players and ask them about their emotions and thoughts after winning the title.

Dina Amr (team captain):

“The team’s fighting spirit led us to making the comeback in the final. We were focused on overcoming all the challenges and win the title. Finally, we will do our best in the remainder of the season to make sure that we win the rest of the titles.”

Nadine El Salaawi:

“I’m very happy to win the title for the second consecutive time with the club. We were fully focused on tonight’s game and thank God we pleased our fans.”

Farida Wael:

“Coach Hashem played an important role in winning the title. His pre-game talk had a great influence on us. Thank God, we were able to defeat a strong team like ASC and make our fans happy.”
