Shady Hussein, Al Ahly’s new signing, expressed his happiness after joining the Red Eagles on Tuesday.
In an exclusive interview with us, Hussein described this move as a “dream come true,”adding that he is ready for the challenge.
Dream Come True
“Yes, I had other offers; however, when it comes to Al Ahly, you just can’t think twice. I come from a family that fully supports the club. I’ve always dreamt of wearing that red jersey and defending the club’s badge. It’s a dream come true for me.”
A die-hard fan
“I’ve been watching Al Ahly from the stands since 2007. Since then, it became more of a habit for me to watch the games live from the stadium. I could not imagine myself missing a game for Al Ahly.”
“Joining Al Ahly is just the start for me, I’ll do my best to make sure that I participate in the games and contribute in winning trophies for the club.”
Ready For The Challenge
“I’m ready for the challenge. I know the amount of pressure that comes with playing for a big club like Al Ahly. I’m also aware that it won’t be easy to be straight in the starting line-up.”
“The upcoming season will be a tough one, as I’m looking forward to winning all the trophies with the club especially the CAF Champions League.”
Role Model
“Emad Metoab was my role model growing up. I wished to play with him. He had a special style of play and was very smart.”
