Al Ahly have reached an agreement with Egyptian table tennis player, Omar Assar, and Romanian table tennis player, Elizabeta Samara, to support the Red Eagles in the Arab Table tennis Clubs Championship, to be held in Jordan between 17 and 23 August.

Raouf Abdelkader, the club’s director of sporting activities, said that the signing of the duo comes as part of the club’s board efforts to strengthen our team ahead of the competition.

Ashraf Abdelfattah, our table tennis head coach, will represent the club in the tournament's draw, which will be held on 15 August, while our teams are set to travel to Amman, the Jordanian capital, on 16 August.
