Al Ahly women’s basketball team was crowned champions of the Cairo League after defeating Gezira SC 77-71 on Tuesday.

Cairo International Stadium Hall witnessed an impressive performance from both teams; however, the Eagles were able to have the upper hand at the end of the encounter.

Our women’s basketball team had a strong start to the game, as they were able to win the first quarter 21-8.

In the second quarter, they were faced by Gezira’s determination to have the lead, but our ladies ended the first half of the game with a 7 point lead, 37-30.

The Eagles maintained their lead in the third quarter, which ended 77-71 for the Reds. The final quarter of the match saw an amazing performance from our ladies who extended the gap and won the game, 83-63.
