Sami Komsan, Al Ahly’s football first-team assistant coach, conveyed his thoughts on the team’s 1-0 victory over Al Mokawloon Al Arab SC in the league on Friday.
In his post-match interview, Komsan reflected on the victory and talked about the team’s ambitions in the upcoming period.
“It was important to win tonight’s game in order to remain on the top of the league table. We played well tonight and we had a lot of chances.”
“I believe defeating Zamalek 5-3 made Al Mokawloon cautious when playing us, which caused them to be very compact and close as much spaces as they could.”
“Moreover, I would like to thank all our international players for their efforts during the game despite them not being rested after representing their national teams in the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers.”
“As for Hamdy Fathy, he is a very influential player for us and we will miss him in the upcoming match after being sent off in the dying minutes of today’s encounter.”
“We will now focus on our game against Ghazl El Mahalla SC, as we want to continue on our excellent run of strong performances in the upcoming games of the competition.”
