The medical scans which Ammar Hamdy, our midfielder, underwent showed that the player has torn his ACL and will be out of the FIFA Club World Cup.
Hamdy was unable to continue the team’s training match on Thursday after picking up a knee injury and was accompanied by Ahmed Abu Abla, the team’s doctor, to the hospital.
The Red Eagles are currently preparing to face C.F. Monterrey of Mexico in the preliminary round of the FIFA Club World Cup on Saturday in Abu Dhabi.
