Ammar Hamdy, Al Ahly midfielder, left the team's residency in Abu Dhabi on Monday to return to Cairo to continue all the required procedures before undergoing the ACL injury.

Before leaving the team, Hamdy was keen to motivate his teammates, stating that he is proud to be part of the team and that he wishes his teammates all the best in today's match against Palmeiras of Brazil.

Our player was forced to face a lengthy setback after he tore his ACL while participating in one of the team's training sessions.

On a different note, Al Ahly’s football first team will face Palmeiras of Brazil in the semi-finals of the FIFA Club World Cup on Tuesday at 6:30 PM, Cairo time, at Al Nahyan Stadium.
