Pitso Mosimane addressed the media ahead of tomorrow’s game against Al Merrikh of Sudan in the CAF Champions League. 

Mosimane revealed his thoughts about the game and answered questions from the media about the team's situation before the crucial match. 

“It is an important game for us after a defeat from Mamelodi Sundowns. We are playing at home and we need to win. We are ready for the match. We play here and we have no excuse. We will do what we should do to collect the three points.” 

“We have to win. The match is not easy. Al Merrikh is a strong team that stopped Mamelodi Sundowns from winning.”

“The difference between the game we played in Alexandria (against Pharco) and the game against Sundown is that we played in Sundowns' half and we should have scored against Sundowns, but if you do not score, it is a different story.” 

“When you score the goals, it is a different story. When you miss chances, it is a problem.”

Asked about the team’s absences, the coach said “We have injuries like Ayman, Yasser, and Badr but when we played against Al Hilal in the FIFA Club World Cup they were not in the team. When we played against Pharco they were not there. We do not want excuses. We have to win the match. It is not the first time that we have problem like this. It has been difficult ever since I came here, but we have faced more difficult problems.”

Mosimane also discussed the date of our league match against Pyramids, scheduled next Tuesday, saying “Pyramids play in the Confederation Cup and we play in the Champions League, so those two teams should be protected. But we must deal with this situation.”
