Mahmoud El Khatib, Al Ahly president, contacted Mohamed Shawky, head of Al Ahly’s delegation in South Africa, to check on the team ahead of Saturday’s match. 

Also, El Khatib was keen to thank Ahmed El Fadly, Egypt’s Ambassador to South Africa, for the embassy’s efforts to provide full support to the delegation since their arrival in Johannesburg.

Al Ahly are currently preparing to face Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa in Matchday 4 of the CAF Champions League group stage.
