Al Ahly have signed the Brazilian volleyball player Mauricio Borges to support our men's team for the rest of the season.

Khaled Al Awady, the club’s sporting director, announced that Borges completed his transfer on Thursday, adding that he will be a great addition to the team’s squad.

Our new signing will feature in the team’s full training tonight for the first time, joining the team's preparations for the upcoming games. 

Borges is one of the biggest names in volleyball world in the last 15 years, playing a key role in the big successes of the Brazilian national team. 

Borges was part of the Brazilian squad that won the Olympic gold medal in 2016 in Rio de Janeiro, the 2010 FIVB World League, the FIVB World Grand Champions Cup twice and the FIVB World Cup in 2019.
