Sayed Abdelhafiz, the club’s director of football, spoke on Thursday about the team’s preparations for Saturday’s game against ES Setif of Algeria.

Al Ahly will face ES Setif of Algeria on Saturday in the second leg of the CAF Champions League semi-finals after defeating the Algerian side 4-0 in Cairo.

Here is what Abdelhafiz had to say about the game:

“We came here with one objective and that is to qualify for the final. It will be a tough game. We should not think of the first leg. It’s important to be fully concentrated throughout the whole 90 minutes of the game. The second leg is just as important as the first leg.

 We had a very good reception. The Algerian side has been very respectful to us and very helpful. They found a better training venue for us after the coaching staff requested to change the venue of the training.

We have a good relationship with them and that’s not new. It is important to keep a good relationship.

Captain Mahmoud El Khatib, the club’s president, is in constant communication with El Amry Farouk, the head of Al Ahly’s delegation in Algeria and the club’s vice president, to make sure that the team is fully focused on the game. Also, to make sure that everything is going as planned.”
