Hamdy El Safy, the women’s volleyball team head coach, expressed his happiness after the team managed to defeat Ghana’s El-Wak Wings on Sunday. 

“We did not play friendly games before the start of the competition and I was sure that the players’ performance improve gradually during the game.” 

“We were close to winning the game 3-0, but the players made some mistakes which made El-Wak win the first set. However, we managed to win the three other sets and secured the win.”

“I have great confidence in the abilities of my players. I told them that they must put on a great effort in the upcoming games in order to win the African title.”
