Sami Komsan, Al Ahly’s interim head coach, spoke following the team’s 2-2 draw against Zamalek SC in the Egyptian Premier League on Sunday. 

In his post-match press conference, Komsan commented on the result and reflected on the team’s performance in the game.

“We started off the game very well and we were able to take the lead. Afterward, our players starting suffering from fatigue which caused our momentum to drop.”

“Despite being behind in the score during the second half, yet our players fought until the end and were able to equalize the score.”

“We are playing a lot of games in a short amount of time. We had Aliou Dieng and Ayman Ashraf out of today’s game due to being injured. However, I would like to apologize to our fans on not winning the Cairo Derby.”
