Marwan Attia, our newest player, expressed how happy he is to finally achieve his childhood dream and wear the prestigious red jersey.
In an exclusive interview with us, Attia revealed that his ambitions are to achieve limitless success with the red eagles.
Living the childhood dream
"I play football since I was seven, and my forever dream to achieve since then was to wear that red jersey. When I received the offer and knew that Al Ahly wanted me to join, I didn't think twice. I felt it in my bones that I will be living my childhood dream and play with the red eagles."
The one and only goal
"I'm the luckiest to be a part of Al Ahly's massive organization, and my biggest aim is to participate in the games, in order to bring back the Egyptian premier league title for the club, and I'm sure that it will definitely get back home.
As per the FIFA Club World Cup competition, I have full hopes that we will do great and we're going to put all our efforts to make history."
Prepared for the challenges
"I'm ready for any tough challenges, as I acknowledge the amount of pressure I'll be facing; however, I'm prepared to do the best I can to level up the team, and concentrate on gaining trophies for the club."
Role Model
"I wished to play next to Mohamed Aboutrika, and Mohamed Shawky the great ex-footballers for Al Ahly, as they were my role models growing up. I will never forget Aboutrika's goal in the CAF Champions League final match in 2006 it was a historical goal that will be remembered for decades."
