Mahmoud El Khatib, the club’s president, and the board of directors paid a visit to Zamalek SC as a part of the historic and strong ties between the two clubs. 

During the visit, El Khatib expressed his sincere appreciation for the warm welcome, reflecting the deep historical ties between Al Ahly and Zamalek. El Khatib also invited Zamalek's board of directors to visit Al Ahly. 

"The relationship between Al Ahly and Zamalek will remain solid and stable. Both clubs are the two pillars of sports in our country, with history witnessing many moments that brought Al Ahly and Zamalek together.” El Khatib stated.

Hussien Labib, Zamalek’s president, also expressed his happiness with the visit and thanked Al Ahly's board for accepting the invitation. 

"Firstly, I would like yo pay tribute to Al Ahly's late vice-president El Amri Farouk. We wish he could have been here today with us. The two clubs enjoy a historic relationship and I fondly recall training at Al Ahly's grounds with the Egyptian national team. The competitiveness is part of the game but should always be framed by sportsmanship. We are hopeful that the future will bring even more cooperation between our clubs."
