Big win over Baladiyat El Mahalla

In a beautiful night at Cairo Stadium, the Red Eagles marked their return to the Egyptian Premier League in their own style, after putting on a dominant performance to secure a tremendous 5-1 victory over Baladiyat El Mahalla.

Baladiyat El Mahalla fought hard to stay in the game, but the Reds' relentless pressure proved that it was too much to handle.

First half

From the opening whistle, we took control of the game, displaying our attacking prowess and defensive solidity. The first goal came early in the match, setting the tone for what was to come.

Wessam Abou Ali, our Palestinian striker, started his first game with the Red Eagles tonight after playing for 30 minutes on Friday night in the CAF Champions League. He had a blast this Tuesday night and decided to open his account with the Reds, as he gave us the lead in the first 5 minutes with a beautiful finish.

We kept on adding more pressure on our opponent and we had the upper hand in the first half, just 10 minutes later Karim Fouad doubled the score with an amazing finish.

In the final minutes of the first half, Reda Slim made a significant impact by finding the back of the net, however the goal was disallowed for offside, but after a thorough VAR check, it was rightfully awarded to us and we secured our third goal in the game, to finish the first half with well-executed goals that showcased our teamwork.

Second half

In the start of the second half, our opponent was trying to put pressure on the Reds and try to score a goal. However, we were able to add the fourth goal after several minutes. Wessam added his second goal in the match right from the spot, after the penalty that we granted as Emam Ashour got fouled inside the box.

Although we were surpassing our opponent with four goals to nothing, but the Red Eagles weren't done yet. Marcel Koller decided to make some changes and Modeste entered the field as a substitute and he didn't need more than 9 minutes to prove himself and surprise us all with the fifth goal in the game.

In the last minutes of the game our opponents were granted a penalty, and it gave them the chance to score their only goal in the game from the spot by Hossam Ashraf, their striker.

Al Ahly emerged victorious with a fantastic 5-1 win which is our biggest winning in the league this year.
