With a standout performance, the Reds kicked off the season in style, clinching a 3-0 victory over Kenya’s Gor Mahia at Nyayo National Stadium in the first leg of the CAF Champions League round of 32. 

This impressive result sets a strong foundation for the second leg next week in Cairo.

The Reds took the lead in the 14th minute when Ramy Rabia found the back of the net following a well-placed cross from Hussein El Shahat. 

Just a minute later, Tau extended Al Ahly’s lead, skillfully dribbling past the goalkeeper to add the second goal.

In the 74th minute, Tau scored his second goal of the match, finishing off a dynamic attack started by Taher Mohamed Taher's run. 

The Reds managed to extend their unbeaten run in the CAF Champions League to 23 matches.
