Nothing feels better than a home victory, and the Eagles delivered a fantastic 3-0 win over Kenya’s Gor Mahia on Saturday evening at Cairo International Stadium, securing a dominant 6-0 victory on aggregate.

From the very first minutes, the Reds took control of the match, despite Gor Mahia’s organized defense.

The breakthrough came in the 24th minute when Ramy Rabia headed in a superb cross from Yahia Attiyat Allah, mirroring his early goal from the first leg in Nairobi.

Our Palestinian striker, Wessam Abou Ali, doubled the lead in the 54th minute, calmly finishing after another assist from Attiyat Allah, who provided two assists in his first home game with the Red Eagles. 

In the final minutes of the match, Taher Mohamed Taher put the game totally to bed  with a powerful strike to make the score 3-0.

We managed to secure another clean sheet in the CAF Champions League, taking our record to 12 consecutive matches without conceding a goal. 

The Reds are now through to the group stage of the CAF Champions League with a perfect start to our continental campaign.

The celebrations didn't stop here as our team received the new Egyptian League trophy in a beautiful ceremony after the match. 

Mohamed El Shenawy, our captain, lifted the trophy and took his team mates on a lap of honour, celebrating the 44th league title in our history.
