The Red Eagles soared to new global heights with a historic 3-0 victory over UAE’s Al Ain under the lights of Cairo International Stadium, capturing the FIFA African-Asian-Pacific Cup and labeling ourselves champions of three continents.
The Reds commanded the game from the start, and after multiple attempts, the deadlock was broken in the 32nd minute when Wessam Abou Ali capitalized on a defensive error to score the opening goal.
In the 55th minute, Taher Mohamed Taher delivered a perfect pass to Emam Ashour, who fired a stunning shot to extend our lead.
As time ran down, a penalty was awarded to Al Ahly, which Mohamed Magdy Afsha confidently converted in the added time, sealing the 3-0 win at home among a huge crowd that painted the city red.
With this victory, we moved a step ahead in the FIFA Intercontinental Cup, and our journey will continue on December 14th at Stadium 974 in Doha, where we’ll face either Pachuca or the CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores winners in the FIFA Challenger Cup, further building on a legacy that excels on the global stage.
