Our lead was cancelled out in the 87th minute when Van Derrick Bekalé Aubame equalized the score.
The Reds kept pushing till the last minutes, but Al Ittihad’s defense held firm, and the referee blew the final whistle, ending the match in a 1-1 draw.
Post-match reactions:
Marcel Koller
“We are not happy with the draw. We played a great match tonight. We created many chances to score, but we weren’t efficient in front of goal. Our performance improved in the second half but it wasn't enough to win the match."
