In the first game of Ramadan this season, The Red Eagles secured a 2-0 victory over Tala’ea El Gaish in the Egyptian Premier League at Cairo International Stadium.

The Reds dominated the game from the start, pressing high and looking for early openings. In the 3rd minute, Nejc Gradišar came close to scoring after breaking into the penalty area, but his shot was deflected just wide.

Achraf Bencharki and Emam Ashour also had dangerous attempts, but the opponent’s goalkeeper denied them, and despite numerous chances, the first half ended goalless.

Just seconds into the second half, the Reds finally broke through as Emam headed the ball to Gradišar, who struck it past the goalkeeper, giving Al Ahly the lead.

The Eagles continued to attack, and in the 57th minute, they were awarded a penalty for a foul on Wessam Abou Ali, but after a VAR check, the decision was overturned.

As the game neared its end, the Reds sealed the win when Mohamed Abdallah was fouled inside the box, earning a penalty. Marawan Attia stepped up and fired it to the left of the goalkeeper, securing a 2-0 victory.

With this result, The Reds secure three important points and continue their push in the league.

For the second game in a row, Achraf Bencharki was named Man of the Match for his outstanding performance.
