Sayed Abdelhafiz, Al Ahly’s director of football, confirmed that Al Ahly’s football first team players are still not allowed to speak to the media, as the team is in a decisive phase of the season.

The Red Eagles are expected to face Esperance on 26 June in Cairo in the second leg of the CAF Champions League semis.

On a similar note, Al Ahly's delegation arrived in Cairo in the early hours of Sunday, following the team’s 1-0 victory over Esperance in the first leg of the competition.
