Al Ahly defeats Tanta SC 1-0 in week 30 in the Egyptian Premier League and reached their 79 points to stay on the top of the table.
The Red Eagles started the game with intensive pressure to score the opening goal. We missed the first scoring opportunity after a weak header from Kahrba.
In the 10th minute, El Shiekh shot the ball but it went away Tanta's goal. Maaloul threatened the opponent's goal once again after a strong shot in the 25th minute but the ball went over the bar.
The game then was tightened in the midfield as both teams were seeking to score the first goal. The 40th minute witnessed Kahrba scoring the first goal after a brilliant shot, but unfortunately the goal was disallowed by the VAR.
Our coach Rene Weiler made the first substitute in the beginning of the second half as Ajayi left the pitch and Afsha joined instead of him. We were about to score the first goal in the 50th minute as Kahrba shot the ball, but Tanta's goalkeeper blocked it away.
Both Badji and Diang joined the game in 56th minute instead of Fathy and Marwan and then in the 67th minute El Shahaat joined instead of El Sheikh.
Afsha missed a great opportunity in the 71st minute as he shot the ball after a brilliant long pass from El Shahaat, but once again it was blocked by Tanta's Mohamed Ashraf.
El Soulia finally scored the winning goal in the 80th minute after a cross from Afsha to change the result to 1-0.
