Al Ahly’s board sent an official letter to the Egyptian Football Association, EFA, requesting to play the 22nd and 23rd league fixtures against Wadi Degla SC and Ceramica Cleopatra FC, respectively, during the 2020 Summer Olympic Games.

Additionally, the club’s board clarified in their letter to the EFA that Al Ahly will be willing to play these two games without the participation of the players from Egypt’s under-23 national team.

Al Ahly’s request to the EFA came after the association announced the schedule of the upcoming league games, which saw our first team included in many games in a short time period.

Finally, the club’s board trusts that the EFA will understand Al Ahly’s situation.
