Al Ahly men’s basketball team achieved an important win over Alexandria Sporting Club (ASC) on Saturday night in the Egyptian League quarter-finals.

Abdullah Al Faisal Hall in Gezira hosted the game and witnessed a fantastic performance from the two teams but our players managed to secure the victory in the final seconds of the game.

Al Ahly had the upper hand in the game from the start and we managed to win the first quarter 19-15. Our Eagles kept the impressive performance in the second quarter, which ended with our Eagles leading 35-30.

The Red Eagles extended the gap in the score in the third quarter, which ended 48-36. Our Eagles stood their ground in the fourth quarter to win the match 74-70.

The quarter-finals are best-of-five series and the team who wins three games advances to the next round. ASC won the first game on Friday night and the Red Eagles bounced back tonight to win the second game.
