Al Ahly's board of directors, headed by president Mahmoud El Khatib, accepted the resignation of Al Ahly men's basketball first team head coach Ashraf Tawfik and the coaching staff. 

The board of directors thanked coach Tawfik and his assistants for their efforts during their time at the club. 

The new coach will be announced in the coming two days.
