Al Ahly’s women’s basketball team head coach Ali Hashim expressed his happiness after defeating Alexandria Sporting Club 82-80 in the Egyptian Cup final and clinching the title. 

“We played a very good game, as we were determined to win the trophy to make our fans happy.” 

“Al Ahly’s character led us to win the title, especially at the last minutes of the game. We deserved to be the champions tonight after we managed to maintain our strong performance during the whole tournament.”
 
“Winning this trophy is a great achievement, and we are keen to win all the upcoming titles.” 

Al Ahly started the current season with an impressive victory, after winning the Super Cup in the final game against Heliopolis SC.
