Al Ahly basketball women’s team captain, Dina Amr spoke following the team’s 61-57 victory over Sporting SC that crowned the Red Eagles as the champions of the National League.

“The team’s spirit is the secret behind our success in the National League. That spirit was what motivated us to win the competition, especially after having several of our players test positive for COVID-19.”

“We managed to cope with the pressure after knowing that several of our players tested positive for COVID-19.”

“Our coaching staff also had a great role in terms of handling the situation and dealing mentally with the team.”

Lastly, our captain concluded by saying that all the members of the team are aware of the huge responsibilities that comes with representing Al Ahly.
