Scans carried out on Monday morning confirmed the concerns about our starting goalkeeper Mohamed El Shenawy's injury.
The scans confirmed that the player injured his adductor muscle during Sunday's game against Al Mokawloon Al Arab SC in the Egyptian Premier League.
The medical staff set up a rehabilitation program for the goalkeeper, which will start with physiotherapy sessions and will be followed by a fitness program.
Our director of football Sayed Abdelhafiz noted that there will be no rush for El Shenawy’s return to ensure that he is ready for the important game against Wydad Casablance in Morocco, scheduled on 17 October.
Abdelhafiz met El Shenawy on the sidelines of today’s training session to support and encourage him to overcome the injury.
