Al Ahly’s football first team resumed their training sessions on Sunday morning at El Tetsh Stadium after having a 24-hour rest on Saturday.
Here is what happened in today’s training:
Ayman Ashraf Returns
Al Ahly’s defender, Ayman Ashraf returned back to the team’s full training sessions on Sunday at El Tetsh Stadium.
The club’s director of football, Sayed Abdelhafiz confirmed that Ashraf is ready once again to join the team’s training sessions after recovering from his knee injury.
Also, Al Ahly’s coaching staff held a meeting with Ashraf on the sidelines of Sunday’s training session in order to make sure that the player has fully recovered from his injury.
Mosimane Holds a Meeting with Abdelhafiz
Our head coach, Pitso Mosimane held a meeting with Abdelhafiz in the presence of the rest of Al Ahly’s coaching staff on the sidelines of Sunday’s training session.
During their meeting, Mosimane discussed with Abdelhafiz several points regarding the team’s preparations for our upcoming match against Sudan’s Al Merrikh SC.
Sudan’s Trip Date Announced
Our football first team will travel to Sudan on Wednesday where Al Ahly will be facing Al Merrikh SC on April 3 in the fifth fixture of the CAF Champions League group stage.
Bwalya and Dieng to Return Back Following the End of Their International Duty
Abdelhafiz stated that Al Ahly’s striker, Bwalya will head to Al Ahly’s delegation to Sudan once he finishes his international duty with DR Congo.
Lastly, Abdelhafiz also confirmed that the Malian international player, Dieng will return back to Cairo and will travel with the team to Sudan as soon as he completes his international duty with Mali.
COVID-19 Test on Monday
Abdelhafiz stated that the club’s football first team will undergo a COVID-19 test on Monday ahead of Al Merrikh SC’s match.
