The official Twitter account of the Confederation of African Football, CAF, congratulated Al Ahly on winning the bronze medal in the FIFA Club World Cup for the second time in the club’s history.

Following Al Ahly’s 3-2 victory over Palmeiras in the bronze medal game of the FIFA Club World Cup, CAF tweeted on their official account:

“Great achievement from Al Ahly as they secure a medal in the Club World Cup after beating Copa Libertadores champions Palmeiras on penalties. Made Africa proud.”
