Al Ahly’s manager, Pitso Mosimane spoke following the team’s 2-0 victory over Ismaily SC in the Egyptian Premier League. 

In his post-match press conference, Mosimane expressed his happiness with the victory and reflected on the team’s performance in the game.

On Today’s Game 

“We achieved our target from today’s game, as we managed to win the three points and keep a clean sheet.” 

Comparing Al Ahly’s Performance in Vita’s Game With Today’s Match

“We played very well against AS Vita Club, but we didn’t achieve the three points. However, today we put on a solid performance and we won the game.”

Preparing For Vita’s Game

“Today’s match is great preparation for our upcoming game against AS Vita Club. I spoke with the players before the match and I told them that Ismaily’s game is a good opportunity to prepare for our next game against Vita.”

Al Ahly’s Attacking Opportunities 

“We made great use of the goal-scoring chances that we had in today’s match. Additionally, we need all our players to perform when called upon. Marwan Mohsen is a great example of that, as he managed to score a goal in the last game after coming from the bench. Also, Salah Mohsen scored today after coming in the second half.”

Coping with Pressure 

“I understand the amount of pressure that the team faces right now. We have an overwhelmed schedule; therefore, we must implement the best recovery program possible for our players.
Also, we find replacements for all of our injured players. For example, Ahmed Ramadan Beckham played today as a left-back instead of Ali Maaloul, Ayman Ashraf, and Mahmoud Wahid, who are all injured.”
