Al Ahly’s head of medical staff, Dr. Ahmed Abu Abla, checked on two of Al Merrikh SC’s players, during a phone call with the Sudanese club’s head of medical staff, Dr. Ahmed Kamal.

Dr. Abu Abla said that he has been following both players’ conditions since Tuesday’s game in the CAF Champions League group stage.

Dr. Abu Abla added that Dr. Kamal asked him to check on both players after the match.

“Both players were taken to the hospital to undergo some investigations before leaving for Sudan.” Dr. Abu Abla said.
