The Red Eagles completed their mission in Doha and won the CAF Super Cup trophy for the seventh time in our history, extending our record in the competition.
We brought the trophy back home for the first time since 2014 when we won our sixth title after defeating CS Sfaxien of Tunisia at home.
We boosted our record of being the club with the most CAF Super Cup titles after securing the seventh trophy tonight, while our arch-rivals Zamalek are placed second with four titles.
Moreover, the Red Eagles set several impressive records after participating in the competition for a record nine times, besides that our front line is the strongest in the competition's history with 14 goals.
Furthermore, Al Ahly participated in the CAF Super Cup as the CAF Champions League winners for the seventh time and managed to come out victorious in all of them, while we lost the title on two occasions when we participated as the African Cup Winners’ Cup and CAF Confederation Cup champions in 1994 and 2015 respectively.
