Al Ahly is set to host AS Vita Club in the CAF Champions League group stage, according to the draw which was held today in Cairo. 
Ahead of our match against AS Vita Club, here are 5 facts about our games against the Congolese team:

1- Head to Head Games

We faced AS Vita Club twice, and the Red Eagles succeeded to win one game, but we lost the other in the 2018-2019 CAF Champions League group stages. The first game was held in Cairo and we won 2-0 thanks to the goals from Nasser Maher and Ali Maaloul. We lost the away game against the Congolese team 1-0.  

2- First Time to Face Congolese Teams 

We faced the Congolese teams for the first time in 2002 when we met TP Mazembe in the group stages of the CAF Champions League. We clinched a 1-0 win in the first game thanks to our striker Ahmed Belal, while we held a goalless draw against TP Mazembe in the second game. Al Ahly once again faced TP Mazembe after 10 years, as we met them in 2012 in the CAF Champions League group stages. 
The first game was held in Cairo and we defeated them 2-1 as our strikers Gedo and Emaad Meteeb scored the goals, but we lost the away game 2-0. 

3- Goals Scored 

The Red Eagles scored 5 goals in 6 games against the Congolese teams, as we won 3 games while we lost 2 and held a 1 draw. 

4- Goals Conceded

During all the 6 games, our nets conceded 4 goals in all our matches against the Congolese teams. 

5- Last Games

We faced AS Vita Club in the CAF Champions League group stages in 2019, and we succeeded to win the first game 2-0 while we lost the second game 1-0.
