The Red Eagles secured a commanding 2-0 victory over El Gouna in the Egyptian Premier League under the lights of Cairo International Stadium, with Emam Ashour continuing his fantastic form by scoring the two goals.
The Reds had the upper hand throughout the match but faced a solid performance from El Gouna’s defense and goalkeeper.
The first half saw both sides battling for control, with the Reds eventually creating several chances to break the deadlock. However, despite their efforts, all our attempts missed the target and the first half ended goalless.
The second half, however, was a different story. The Reds kept pushing, and their persistence paid off in the 63rd minute when Mohamed Mahdy Afsha delivered a precise pass to Emam, who coolly placed the ball past the goalkeeper to give Al Ahly a 1-0 lead.
The Reds continued to pile on the pressure, and in stoppage time, Karim El Debes, who had replaced Mahmoud Kahraba, delivered a sublime pass to Emam who fired the ball into the back of the net to score the second goal and secure the three points.
After the game, Emam was named Man of the Match for his outstanding performance.
