Michel Iannacone, Al Ahly’s goalkeeping coach, called Mohamed El Shenawy, our goalkeeper, to check on him after he picked up an adductor muscle injury while representing Egypt during the African Cup of Nations. 

Iannacone said that he was keen to support El Shenawy at that time, wishing him a speedy recovery. 

El Shenawy picked up an adductor muscle injury during Egypt’s game against Ivory Coast in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations’ round of 16.
