Al Ahly men's basketball team defeated Gezira SC 80-61 on Friday night in Game 1 of the Egyptian Super League (ESL) semi-finals series to take a 1-0 lead. 

The Red Eagles need two more victories in the remaining four matches to clinch the best-of-five series.
