Ricardo Soares, Al Ahly’s football first team head coach, spoke following the team’s 1-0 victory over Misr Lel Makkasa SC in the 27th fixture of the Egyptian Premier League.

In his post-match press conference, Soares talked about the importance of the team’s game and gave an explanation as to why he substituted several players in the second half.

“Today’s victory came in a very important time, as we currently have to play a lot of games in a short amount of period.”

“We have to be realistic, we have a lot of games to play and multiple injuries which puts additional pressure on us.”

“Therefore, it was important to win today in order to be confident ahead of our upcoming games.”

“I made several substations in order to make sure that we don’t have any additional injuries.”
