Al Ahly athletes continued to shine on the international stage, winning six medals while representing Egypt at the Arab U18 Athletics Championships, which was recently held in Cairo.
The club’s athletes played a key role in Egypt’s strong showing at the tournament, claiming three gold medals and three bronze medals and contributing significantly to the Pharaohs’ first-place finish in the overall standings.
The gold medals were won by Mohamed Samir Ismail, who finished first in the hammer throw; Ahmed Mohamed Zaki, who claimed high-jump gold with a clearance of 2.03 meters; and Lama Emad Ibrahim, who took first place in the javelin throw.
In the bronze-medal events, Youssef Sayed Shehata finished third in the hammer throw, while Mariam Mohamed Mohamed also secured bronze in the same event.
Mohannad Mohamed Essam added another bronze medal after placing third in the pole vault with a clearance of 3.90 meters.
