Al Ahly's men handball team booked their place in the quarterfinals of the African Handball Championship with a commanding 55-20 victory over Rwanda’s Police HC in their final group-stage match in Morocco on Thursday.
The Egyptian side dominated from the outset, racing to a 31-10 lead by halftime and never looked back as they secured their fourth consecutive win of the tournament.
The Cairo giants opened their campaign with a 41-11 rout of Ethiopia’s Mekelle 70 on Saturday, followed by a 29-12 win over Ivory Coast’s Red Star on Sunday.
They then eased past DR Congo’s JSK 29-19 on Monday.
