Al Ahly’s board of directors, headed by the club's president captain Mahmoud El Khatib, will open Al Ahly’s branch in Luxor on Thursday night.
Luxor Branch will be officially inaugurated in a big ceremony that will witness the attendance of the Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Al Ahly's board members, some of the club's icons, public figures as well as Saif Al Waziri, CEO and managing director of Estadat Company.
The preparations are complete and the doors of Luxor Branch will open tomorrow to provide integrated sports and entertainment activities for the club’s members.
The inauguration of Luxor Branch comes within the continuous collaboration between Al Ahly and Estadat Company following the successful collaboration in many projects such as Al Ahly Stadium, the development of Al Ahly channel and many more economic projects.
Al Ahly’s Branch in Luxor is the biggest in the governorate as it is built on 13 acres of land and includes:
- Football stadium with a capacity of 5000 fans.
- Several arenas for the individual and sports teams.
- Olympic swimming pool.
- Indoor hall.
- Five-a-side pitches.
- Social building.
- Several arenas to serve the club's football, basketball, handball and volleyball academies.
- Gym.
- Mosque.
The inauguration of the club's branch in Luxor strengthens the relationship between Al Ahly and our fans in Upper Egypt.
Moreover, such act boosts Al Ahly's historic role in the development of the community on social, sports and construction levels. It will also have a huge economic value for the club.
Mohamed Morgan, Al Ahly's executive director, said that the inauguration of the club's branch in Upper Egypt reflects the eagerness of the club to take part in the development of the region by providing sports and social capabilities through the constant cooperation with the state's institutions.
Also, Saif Al Waziri expressed his happiness with the inauguration of Al Ahly's branch in Luxor, adding that it is a historic achievement.
Al Waziri stressed the success of the partnership with Al Ahly, thanking Al Ahly's board of directors and the state's institutions for their efforts in the successful economic partnership between Al Ahly and Estadat Company.
