Al Ahly men's handball team will take on Morocco’s Montada in the final of the 2025 African Championship on Monday.
The match will be played at the Mohammed V Hall in Casablanca at 20:00 Cairo local time (GMT+2), as Morocco hosts the 46th edition of the continental tournament, which runs from 11 to 20 October.
Defending champions Al Ahly are aiming for a third consecutive African title and the eighth in the club’s history.
The Red Eagles advanced to the final with a perfect record, topping their group with wins over Ethiopia’s Mekelle 70 (41-11), Ivory Coast’s Red Star (29-12), DR Congo’s JSK (29-19), and Rwanda’s Police HC (55-20).
They then cruised past Benin’s Flowers (43-22) in the quarterfinals before defeating Cameroon’s FAP 37-14 in the semifinals.
