Al Ahly’s women’s handball team advanced to the quarter-finals of the African Women’s Handball Champions League in Morocco after a commanding 47–17 victory over Morocco’s Ittihad Nouasseur on Wednesday in the final match of the group stage.
The team put on a dominant performance, entering halftime with a 20–7 lead and extending their advantage in the second half to win by a 30-goal margin.
They had opened the tournament with a 34–21 win over Cameroonian side Kalara Yaoundé, and today’s victory secured their place in the knockout stage.
